PACHAMAMA PRESERVE

Merkaba Earth Foundation is delighted to announce the acquisition of 5 acres of pristine, undisturbed habitat, incorporating a Class-3 Wetland, located on the west side of Vashon Island.

Towering Bigleaf Maple, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Evergreen Huckleberry, Salal, Sword Fern and Oregon Grape populate this serene property.

We will work to preserve the aquifer recharge and habitat qualities of this land to ensure conscientious environmental stewardship.

“Wetland ecosystems are stunningly effective at soaking up carbon from the atmosphere. Despite covering only roughly 6 to 8% of the world’s land surface, they contain roughly 20 to 30% of the carbon stored in the soil.”
